“Before joining Ambitious Creatives Booked Solid, I was designing all the things… social media, leaflets, websites. I was doing everything for everybody and saying yes to everything. And massively undercharging for it too.

I knew I had the creative and professional skills to build a better business, but I was lacking all the other skills I needed. Like managing the sales calls, positioning myself, managing my time. The list went on.

I was watching a lot of free content on YouTube but there was a point where that made me even more overwhelmed. I knew that I needed a mentor to help me get to the next level and I had a great connection with Joana on our phone call — honestly, I look up to her, she started everything so young and has the entrepreneurial mindset that I was hungry to learn from.

Joana taught me so much in just three months. She helped me not only position myself as a professional but see myself as one. This gave me the confidence to increase my rates, which I quadrupled.

Instead of being overwhelmed with low-paying projects, I’m now working with fewer higher-paying projects and using the extra time I have to build my business. I’m really excited about the future of my business – I have plans to expand and bring on other designers.

Even though I’ve finished the program I’m planning to go through all the resources again (as I have lifelong access to them) because they’re so rich in information and content, I know I’ll get even more from it the second time around.”
