I was sick of never having enough money at the end of the month, or enough holiday days, and not being able to pick my own projects.
So I posted this message ^^^ and ping! Someone saw it… I got my first freelance client. Which led to another… and another.
I was working from 6am to midnight to fit in the freelance work around the agency job I had in London (yep, the tube was my home office!).
And so one day, about a year after starting my job, I quit.
I was 22 and had no idea what would come next…

We moved to Portugal and grew our agency from coffee shops and libraries
With zero experience but lots of enthusiasm and ambition, my husband and I moved to Portugal to create our own agency.
We made our first hires and worked from museums, libraries and coffee shops (often starting late as we were waiting for them to open!).
It felt like a dream. Until it didn’t.
Hiring, firing, and all the tough stuff that I was completely unprepared for.
That’s when I started to learn what truly being a boss meant…
